Grey Coffee started working with Tayto Group in 2017. We were appointed by Tayto to provide brand support across a number of their product ranges. As well as working on a brand level we also acted as a key digital support partner for all digital transformation.

What did success mean for this project? 

It’s important we understand how design and business align. This ensures we are on the same page in determining success for the project. For Tayto Group, each project was generally broken down by product line. There would be key strategic brand objectives and Grey Coffee were responsible for the design implementation and digital transformation.

Tayto Group is the largest British-owned crisp and snack manufacturer

GC has developed great experience working across the many brands that fall under the Tayto umbrella. Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is an area of design we really enjoy working within. It naturally aligns very well to brand, graphic design, digital design, packaging design and digital too. GC have worked on projects specifically for Real Crisps, Mr Porky, Tayto Trade Sales, Midland Snacks and Golden Wonder.

Across the brands we have worked on digital projects which have involved bespoke hosting solutions, design prototyping, mobile first/responsive design and custom wordpress development. We have also carried out a number of technical audits which have provided solutions for the following: Website integration to internal systems, speed audits for all micro-sites under the Tayto brand and finally design optimisation for optimal user experience.
On the corporate projects we have worked on custom presentations for key events and annual sales/marketing meetings. All presentations were designed in line with the specific brand it was representing. For each one we worked closely with the key individuals within the company to make sure we provided a great brand experience but also created dynamic and engaging graphics.

Finally, we have worked on a number of campaign based projects where we have had to design campaign graphics and concepts for a product launch, event or competition. On these projects we lead all the art direction, brand strategy, concept designs and activation.
